How many of you have seen a chart that shows how good or bad you are at some behavior? It can make you think, “Wow, I’m pretty bad at that,” and I mean that as a compliment. But, I do think it goes beyond that. The chart takes a closer look at why you may be bad at some behaviors and how you can learn to improve your behavior.
The chart I recommend is from the site, www.diydiydisability.com, and is called the “behaviour chart.” It’s a pretty simple and pretty effective tool for learning how to improve yourself. In fact, I’m quite impressed with how well the chart works. The author, Eric H.
has a website and posts it here as well. The chart is a good place to start if you want to learn how to improve yourself.
As I said above, it’s an excellent tool to start with. I really like it because it is easy to use and very effective. As you can see here, here and here the different behaviors are labeled. You will learn to understand how these behaviors are used in the game before you play it. For example, you can see that a lot of times I’m bad at saying no.
That’s because it’s a behavior, not a habit. A habit is a behavior that you can hold onto for a long time. But a behavior is something that you do without thinking about it. I can do my job and play video games all I want, but I won’t stop thinking about it until I’m done. A behavior is something that you do without thinking about it. So how do you recognize your own behavior in those moments? Because when you’re in the middle of some activity, you just know that you’re in the middle of some activity. Like if you’re watching TV, and you look up and realize you’re watching TV, and you’re still watching TV and it’s on repeat, you know it’s on repeat. You know it’s one of those things that you should probably stop doing because you’re making yourself crazy.
With so many options to choose from, how do you know what you want to do and what you dont want to do? That’s a good question to ask yourself.
The thing with diy behavior charts is that it allows you to create a quick list of things you want to do and things you dont want to do. You can basically turn this behavior chart into an excel spreadsheet and you can then do whatever you want with it.
