This is one of our most popular posts. We have hundreds of followers on Instagram, and are often asked about the reflection questions we ask our followers as well as what they mean to us. Whether you’re the next guest on the Juneteenth Talk Podcast or you’re just looking for a new perspective on this holiday, we can help.
This post is an attempt to look at Juneteenth in a way that is both unique and applicable to everyone.
Juneteenth is a celebration of the end of slavery and the beginning of the end of discrimination in the United States. So basically, its a day to celebrate the end of slavery. But it’s also a day to reflect on how we got to this point. We’re all on Juneteenth today because we’ve decided we can’t just let it go. We’ve all decided to make a statement about how injustice is wrong.
The first thing we need to understand about Juneteenth is that it is neither a day to celebrate the end of slavery nor a day to reflect on the events that led to it. It is, however, a day to reflect on the unjust things we have lived through. Thats when we take time to reflect on, we realize that life is unfair. When we realize this, we can make a change.
For most of us, the first thing we think about when we hear Juneteenth is how it will affect the price of our food. For black people, the first thing we think about is how it will affect the price of our guns. For black people, the first thing we think about is how it will affect the price of our TVs. For black people, the first thing we think about is how it will affect the price of our cars. And so on.
And so on. It’s pretty much a universal truth that all humans have a part in the perpetuation of the system that keeps us in the midst of the pain and suffering of our time, which is why it’s hard to make a difference. But there are ways to make a difference. We can, for example, buy food that is made in a way that is less expensive, or we can buy guns that don’t have the same “bad guys” in them.
It’s a great and simple thing to do with a Facebook page.
The idea is that the more people who read and comment on a blog, the more likely it is that the blog will get more views and traffic, which means more revenue for the site. For example, Facebook has a list of groups that people can create to help drive traffic to articles and posts. If you’re a blogger, you can set up a group and let people post their thoughts on the topic of your blog.
