Socialism is a dangerous ideology that has been creeping its way into the United States. It always starts out small, but it never stays that way for long. If we want to keep America free and protect our hard-earned freedoms, then we need to be aware of what socialism is and why it’s so dangerous. In this blog post, you will learn 12 ways to prevent socialism from taking hold in your country!
Some of the ways to keep socialism out are:
only vote for those who have proven their commitment to anti-socialist policies, and don’t let them get away with just words;
be aware of socialist organizations in your community (like teachers unions) that could use policy changes like nationalized healthcare or a higher minimum wage as an easy way to implement socialistic policies. Be vocal about your opposition!;
support pro free market/pro American worker candidates by donating time, money, and voting;
teach others what you know about socialism so they can help stop it too. Not everyone has the same perspective or knowledge base on this issue – make sure we’re all working together to keep America free!
financial donations are not tax-deductible because this is a grassroots movement.
“only you can prevent socialism.” – only vote for those who have proven their commitment to anti-socialist policies, and don’t let them get away with just words;
have a plan to get your message out there. Whether it’s through social media, writing letters to the editor, or other grassroots efforts be prepared for what will happen when socialism and communism start making their way into mainstream discourse;
The US electoral system requires that you register with some party before voting in an election (or else you can only vote for independent parties). If you live in one of these 22 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Dakota (requires only one party affiliation), Pennsylvania, Rhode Island Vermont (requires only one party affiliation) or West Virginia – you can vote in the Democratic primary even if it’s not your preferred party. Voting third-party is a wasted vote that helps socialism and communism take root;
make use of free speech zones on college campuses to help educate students about why they should work hard for capitalism instead of socialism with an accompanying poster campaign;
be vigilant against socialist propaganda at schools! If a teacher tries to teach Marx or Lenin in class without giving equal time to capitalists like Ayn Rand or Milton Friedman–record them and contact their superiors right away!
Rhode Island is only open to Democrats in the primary, but allows for any voter registration.
become a poll worker and make sure that everyone who shows up at your polling place has been registered with their preferred party (i.e., not as an independent);
refuse to vote third party when you have presidential candidates from one of America’s major political parties on the ballot; voting third party risks electing socialists or communists into office if they’re on the opposite side of the ticket;
go door knocking during election season, telling voters about why socialism will hurt them and capitalism can help – don’t forget flyers too! Make sure every neighborhood knows how important it is to keep America free by keeping our society capitalist;
wear a button or lapel pin, with either the American flag (if you’re Republican) or an image of Che Guevara (if you’re Democrat). This shows socialists and communists that they are not welcome in America.
The only way to keep socialism out is by staying informed on which candidates stand for what policies and voting accordingly. It’s up to us as Americans – it always has been.”
“We should never stop fighting just because we have some level of success,” said Representative Dan Crenshaw about his fight against Medicare For All legislation last year. “I know I’m making progress when conservatives start coming my way.”
Protecting our capitalist society from socialist threats means protecting democracy itself.
“Vote against any candidate who wants to implement socialism, communism, or economic reform policies that will lead America away from capitalism.”
I never had a problem with the Affordable Care Act. I mean, Obamacare was just an extension of Medicare and Medicaid – both socialist institutions – so why would it be bad? Well after reading this article on Vox about how universal healthcare is actually worse for your health than going without insurance altogether (hint: because people are too afraid to go see their doctor when they need treatment) and learning more about what Medicare For All entails, my opinion has changed considerably. There are only two ways we can stop socialists from implementing these policies in our country- we need to vote them out of office, and we need to be more vocal about our concerns.

I never had a problem with the Affordable Care Act.” I do have a problem with the Affordable Care Act. I don’t like to pay more for something and get less in return.”
“The only way we can prevent socialism from becoming law is by educating ourselves about what’s happening, speaking out against it as much as possible, and voting these people into office who oppose socialism”
“As of 2020 there are at least 12 states that will be under Democratic control after they take over state legislatures this November.” This not true because Republicans still hold power in many areas such as Texas where Democrats haven’t won statewide office since 1994. The democratic Party has so few seats on their side of aisle now that they no longer need to abandon socialistic policies due to lack of support or coalition building issues in the party.
“Koch Industries is a privately held company and as such needs no outside investments” but the two largest owners of Koch Industries are Charles G. Koch, one of the richest men in America (worth $49 billion) and David H. Koch ($44 billion). The only way to stop this is by giving all workers democratic control over their companies so they can have an equal voice rather than being exploited for profit like many other private industries that employ more people.”
“It’s also important to note that Facebook has been found guilty on numerous occasions for violating federal law because it discriminates against conservatives.”
“At the end of the day, socialism has only hurt those it’s been imposed on.”
